Maratha War Picks are a weapon belonging to Maratha warriors predominantly from the state of Maharashtra in western India , they are very rare. The Maratha empire existed in India from 1674 to 1818. It was founded by Chhatrapati Shivaji maharaj and was  crucial in promoting the notion of Swarajya (self rule) in the minds of Indian people. The Marathas fought against the oppressive rule of the Mughals and other colonial powers in India and emerged victorious using methods of guerrila warfare very effectively.During its peak the Maratha empire stretched from Tamilnadu in the south of India to Afghanistan border in the North west and Bengal in the East of India.
